About the process

Commissions are one of my favourite ways to connect with collectors. I take on a very limited number of custom paintings each year to ensure every piece is created with the care, creativity and intention it deserves.

Here’s what to expect:

1. Inquiry

You’ll share a few details about the piece you’re envisioning through the Commission Application Form. This includes the size, the colour palette, mood, inspiration photos, or anything else you’d like me to know. This is just a starting point, no need to have everything figured out yet!

2. Proposal & Deposit

I’ll reach out by email or video call to further discuss your vision, preferences and any questions you may have. A non-refundable 50% deposit secures your place in my calendar, with the remainder (plus any shipping or framing cost) due once the painting has been completed.

3. Creation

I paint intuitively, pulling inspiration from your vision and the references you provide to create something layered, meaningful and totally unique.

When your painting is nearing complete, I'll send high-quality photos for your approval or minor edits. Any extensive revisions beyond the first round may be subject to an additional fee.

I want to make sure you are fully happy with your final painting. My collaborative process includes a refinement phase to ensure the final piece resonates with you

4. Delivery

Each piece is carefully packaged and shipped to your door.
Larger paintings may ship rolled and will need to be stretched locally. I’ll guide you through that if needed. Pick up or delivery is available for Saskatoon & area.

Investment

All of my paintings are created with archival, museum quality materials and designed to stand the test of time. This is heirloom art to be enjoyed now and cherished for generations.

Prices do not include framing or shipping. Paintings 36" x 48" and larger are often shipped unstretched and rolled for safety during transit. Once your piece arrives, we’ll work together to arrange stretching with your local fine art framer.
